iShares, the exchange-traded funds platform of
investment group BlackRock Inc., Wednesday launched
a European-domiciled exchange-traded fund,
providing exposure to global high-yield bonds.
The ETF will be the first European-domiciled ETF
to provide the possibility to invest in global
high-yield bond, not just European ones, in either
dollars, euros, sterling or Canadian dollars.
The fund will track one of Markit cash bond
indexes, the Markit iBoxx Global Developed Markets
Liquid High Yield Capped Index, with bonds included
in the index rated BB+ or less by at least one of
three main rating agencies, iShares said.
